Human trafficking: Recruitment agencies want gov't partnership

The group says the rise in the vice is due to uncoordinated responsibilities between the government and the licensed organizations.

Employment recruitment Agencies under their umbrella Uganda Association of external recruitment Agencies want government to partner with them in an effort to eliminate human trafficking.
 
Lilian Keene Mugerwa the Association's legal adviser observes that the increasing number of people being trafficked abroad is due to uncoordinated responsibilities between the government and the licensed organizations.
 
According to her, the Associations which bring together all organisations dealing in external recruitment is determined to assist government eliminate human trafficking and instead promote proper immigration within various destinations.
 
Mugerwa says that the Association is currently working towards sensitization of the general public on how best they can get to know human traffickers  so that they can avoid them.
