Bashir Mutanda's penalty in the 54th minute was enough to propel Kirinya to 11th place

SC Villa's chances of winning the Azam Uganda Premier League suffered another setback after they lost 1-0 to ten man Kirinya Jinja SS today at Kakindu Stadium.

The defeat left SC Villa on 47 points, only one point above second placed KCCA who were not in action but have four games in hand.

Bashir Mutanda's penalty in the 54th minute was enough to propel second from bottom Kirinya to 11th with 27 points; their third consecutive home win in a run that has seen Vipers and Police put to the sword.

Kirinya's George Ssenkaba was sent off after two bookable offenses in a match that saw clashes between home fans and a Villa official.

This was Villa's second game without a win after losing to Express 1-0 in their last outing almost a fortnight ago.

Elsewhere, Police head coach Abdullah Mubiru returned after the end of his two game touchline ban but couldn't inspire his side that settled for a goalless draw with Bright Stars at Namboole Stadium.
