A team of 50 doctors with different expertise has been lined up

Medical doctors in Lira have organized a free clinical outreach camp to be held in Lira Municipality as part of their social responsibility.

The camp to be held on the 13th May will include tests for HIV, Hepatitis B and screening for diabetes and high blood pressure. Medical treatment and education will also be provided.

According to Lira district health officer, Dr Bochan Ocen, the doctors have not had time to say thank you to the members of the community adding that the camp will also help forge a link between doctors and the residents.

‟A team of 50 doctors with different expertise has been lined up for the exercise. We are asking for support from members of the business community and development partners," he said in an interview.

He said the clinical outreach will be done in different areas in the eight districts in Lango and will depend on the disease burden in an area.
