Govt to release sh10b for hunger relief

Government through the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) is to release sh10b to aid hunger afflicted areas in the country. 

Musa Ecweru the State Minister for Disaster Preparedness said this money will support people who have nothing to eat as they wait for rains to resume.

"Posho and beans is what government will prioritize distributing to those that cannot afford a meal a day" Ecweru added.

He explained that government will be releasing the money through OPM in phases to address the issue. 

He urged people to take the advantage of the little rains to plant crops to ease the situation.
