UJCC issues routes for Way of the Cross

KAMPALA - According to the executive secretary of the Uganda Joint Christian Council (UJCC) Fr Dr Silvester Arinaitwe Rwomukubwe says the theme of this year's Way of the Cross is ‘Continuity through succession and obedience'.

It is derived from the books of Numbers 27:18-19 and Joshua 1:7-8.

For Friday's Way of the Cross, at every starting point where pilgrims gather, coordinators will have to liaise with the traffic police for the routes.

UJCC has issued routes and starting points from where the different congregations would follow as they participate in the way of the cross leading to Old-Kampala Secondary School field where they are scheduled to finally converge for a common service.

The All Saint's Cathedral team will be led by Archbishop, Stanley Ntagali and starting point at All Saints' Cathedral, the second at Janeffer Musisi Gardens, Old-Kampala Church, R. Khamis and Kyagwe Road Junction, itinerary at Kyaggwe Rd, Old Kampala Road Police Station to Old Kampala S.S.S.

Msgr. Gerald Kalumba will lead the Christ the King Parish, first over at Constitutional Square, St. Matia-Mulumba, Kimathi Avenue, Speke Rd, Johnson/William Street, Kyaggwe Rd, Rashid Khamis Rd, and Old Kampala Police to Old Kampala S.S.
