AZAM UGANDA PREMIER LEAGUE

Friday fixture

Police v  Vipers at Namboole (4.30pm)

Vipers SC Portuguese coach Jorge Miguel Da Costa has cautioned his  players not to relax if they are to finish in the top two of the Azam Uganda Premier League.

"We need to be able to play our best and win the remaining eight league games. Our season is not yet over, we missed out on the title but we still have games to win in the league," he told his team.

"Finishing number two is not the same as number four and this can be reached when we play well and win our games."

Miguel 's remarks come after Vipers were eliminated from the Uganda Cup by FUFA Big League side Paidha Black Angels  and their league performance lately has been unconvincingly.

The Venoms  had a good run when Miguel had just arrived at Kitende but things have changed in their previous games.

They lost 1-0 to  Paidha Black Angels in the Uganda Cup at St. Mary's Stadium, their first defeat in the five games they have played at their new home.

Earlier they lost to bottom side Kirinya Jinja SS 1-0 away in the league at Kakindu Stadium before settling for a goalless draw with Sadolin Paints at home.

Vipers have a chance to bounce back to winning ways when they  face Police at Mandela National stadium, Namboole this Friday.
