Musumba, Watongola supporters clash in Kamuli

Supporters of NRM's Rehema Watongola and FDCs Salaamu Musumba on Tuesday evening clashed in Kananage prompting Police to swing into action.

Supporters of Musumba claimed Police looked on as they were being beaten by Watongola's supporters.

Police spokesperson for Busoga North, Michael Kasadha, confirmed the incident but said the situation had been put under control and he called upon people to be calm.

Police resorted to patrolling the streets of Kamuli to stop any violence spilling over.
