Cricket Cranes surely need a moment in the sun following their relegation from ICC World Cricket League Division Two.

Now with the ICC World Cricket League Division Three coming on local soil as soon as next month, it is such a great advantage for Uganda to make amends and qualify back to ICC World Cricket League Division Two.

UCA rolled out project 2017 where efforts would be structured towards the U19 team for the ICC Africa U19 qualifiers and the senior team for the World Cricket League Division Three, so a tour to Kenya for the quadrangular series kicked off the senior team campaign last year.

Reversely, Kenya is set to arrive in the country for a week-long series of 50 overs games which are expected to boost Uganda's preparations for the World tournament where Uganda opens her campaign with a date against Canada who finished sixth behind Uganda in the 2015 ICC World Cricket League Division Two.

Brian Masaba, the Cricket Cranes assistant captain believes the tour will help them "shape" up right ahead of next month's major tournament that will have Canada, USA, Oman, Malaysia and hosts Uganda where the top two will qualify back to division two.

"Kenya will give us the necessary challenge needed as we look to have a successful Division Three Tournament" said Brian Masaba, Assistant Cricket Cranes captain.

The visitors touch down Thursday next week and will be accommodated at Nob view Hotel. Still there is a possibility of a Saudi Arabia tour to Uganda later.

Meanwhile the ongoing Jazz Safari League already serves as a buildup to the ICC event and so far Steven Tikolo's boys are picking up pretty well with the national top order batsman Roger Mukasa knocking a century in one of his latest engagements.
