MUKONO - Amos Muwonge scored five and Julius Madepi a brace as UCU thrashed Lweza Utd 10-0 in a friendly at UCU on Wednesday.

Derrick Mbowa and Joshua Asiku also scored.

UCU wanted to used the game as preparation for their University Football League tie against Busitema University

It was a game to boost the attitude for the UCU team who are making a trip to Busitema University next week on Friday.

Lweza Utd did not create any open chances and did not trouble UCU goalkeeper Ivan Natwenta who appeared inert in between the posts.

It was a clear demostration of dominance for the home side who led attack after attack to tuck 10 into the back of their opponents' goal.

UCU and Busitema drew in their opening games of the new UFL season.

Jackson Nyima, UCU head coach, said Wednesday's friendly did well to boost his side's confidence in the buildup to their upcoming matc.

"We have to play many friendly games to improve on our match fitness since we don't have any league we play in apart from the university league which is spaced a lot."

Next up, they will play Uganda Premier League side URA FC in another friendly.
