Golf: Kiconco, Sekajugo top Lady Captain's Prize tourney

Gloria Mbaguta and Becca Mwanja though played the better golf on the day winning the ladies and men gross prizes

Annette Kiconco and Dr. James Sekajugo will travel business class to South Africa after toping the Lady Captain's Prize Golf Tournament played at Kitante on Saturday.

Playing off handicap 20 Kiconco returned 72nett to bag her first overall winners' prize in her five-year golfing career. 

And it came big in the form of a trophy, a business class air ticket to South Africa courtesy of South African Airways and a night for two at Kampala's Golden Tulip Hotel.

Dr. James Sekajugo will also enjoy the same privileges after topping the men's category with a net score of 67.

Eva Magala, youngster Judith Komugisha and Jackie Kamunyu were the top players in the ladies Groups A-C where Jenina Nasimolo, Bridget Nakamoga and Rosette Tugume were runners up respectively.

In the men's category, Anthony Agaba, Geoffrey Orach and Akura Mugyenyi were the best in the respective groups A-C.

The event was co-sponsored by UBL (Baileys), Stanbic Bank, Steel and Tube Industries, Century Bottling, Case Medical Care, Golden Tulip Hotel, Marsh Uganda, Multiple Industries, Positive Emotions Fitness and Spa, Civil Aviation Authority, Pinnacle Security.
