Vipers SC will return to action today in the Uganda Cup after their exit from the CAF Confederation Cup.

After being ejected by South African side Platinum Stars, the Kitende-based side will face Kiboga Young in the round of 16 in defence of the title they won last year.

This will be the Venoms' second game played at their new home and they will hope to keep a clean record here after beating Platinum Stars 1-0 in their CAF Confederation Cup first leg.

"Our aim is to get to the final and win but you cannot think about the final until you've won this game and more at the subsequent stages," said Vipers Portuguese coach Jorge Miguel Da Costa.

Vipers eliminated Soana in their previous round while Kiboga ejected Thunder FC and SC Villa in their last rounds of the knock-out competition.

Vipers will hope to reach this year's final which will be hosted in Arua at Green Light Stadium.

The winners of the Uganda Cup represent the country at the CAF Confederation Cup.
