We shall get Kaweesi killers - VP Ssekandi

KAMPALA - The Vice-President Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi has said the security agencies will net those who killed AIGP Andrew Felix Kaweesi, his driver and bodyguard on Friday morning.

Ssekandi was speaking during prayers at Kaweesi's home in Kulambiro, Nakawa division, Kampala.

 
"Those who assassinated Kaweesi and his body guards, keep in mind that we shall get you. How could a person be so heartless to kill a person as if he will never die?" he said.

"Those who assassinated our brother should know that their day will also come.Being a God-fearing person, I believe he [Kaweesi] is in heaven now because I also want to go to heaven when I die."

 

The Vice President said Kaweesi's death is a big loss to the country.

Also at the late police spokesperson's home, Bishop Kityo Luwalila of Namirembe Diocese said Kaweesi respected elders and comforted the family to be strong. He said it was wrong for people to take other people's lives.

"I know the people who murdered Kaweesi might be amongst us listening to whatever we are saying.  It is a sin to kill."

The prayers were attended by senior police officers, government officials and locals in Kulambiro.
