Former Cranes captain George Ssemwogerere and the leader of a group of ex-internationals, Dan Walusimbi were on Wednesday evening remanded to Luzira Prison.

The duo was remanded on charges of trespass following their arrest by Police at FUFA House in Mengo.

Ssemwogerere and Walusimbi and their accomplices appeared before Mwanga II Magistrates Court from where they were remanded to Luzira Prison until 30th March.

The group was arrested at FUFA House after they attempted to enter the premises where they were intercepted by Police.

They were asked by Police to vacate the premises where FUFA was holding its weekly press briefing but they defied Police orders which prompted their arrest.

They were taken to Old Kampala Police Station while others were taken to Mwanga II Court and charged with trespass.

One group that was led by Isa Ssekatawa, was taken to Old Kampala but later released on Police bond.

"We shall not give up on our struggle even if it means all of us being arrested" said former Cranes star Philip Obwiny while at the court.

He added that much as FUFA was trying to use state organs to frustrate them, they were not ready to give up the struggle to see honest people managing FUFA.
