St. Joseph's Girls SS, Nsambya donate to Mapeera Bakateyamba's home

Sr. Mary Mildred, the Assistant Administrator of the home thanked the students for donating their time and money to needy people in the home.

As one of the activities to mark the golden jubilee week of their school, the students of St. Joseph's Girls SS, Nsambya have visited Mapeera Bakateyamba's Home, Nalukolongo, a charity home of Kampala Catholic Archdiocese, which takes care of about 60 disabled and sickly persons.

During their day-long stay at the home, the students cleaned the home, washed clothes of the disabled persons and also fed them. The students also donated some money to the home.

Sr. Mary Mildred, the Assistant Administrator of the home thanked the students for donating their time and money to needy people in the home.

Patience Uwera, an S5 student who spoke on behalf of the others said that the students were deeply touched by the work of the Good Samaritan Sisters, who man the home.

Further to Mapeera Bakateyamb's Home, the students also visited Nsambya Babies Home and the Charity Home of the Missionaries of the Poor in Kisenyi.

They also cleaned up Gogonya Zone, in Nsambya.

The school's golden jubilee celebrations will take place at the school on Sunday (March 19), starting at 10:00am.
