Muduuma is Pro-life Champion

St. John's Seniour Secondary School, Muduuma, has won this year's Pro-life Movement Competitions.

Pro-life is an organization of students in secondary schools and tertiary institutions,  which promotes a culture of life by tackling issues like  abortion, human trafficking and drug abuse, which endanger/destroy human life.

Muduuma were declared winners during the Uganda Martyrs Pro-life Apostolate Annual Convention, which took place at St. Peter's Secondary School, Nsambya on Saturday (March 11).

The organization's Coorinator, Dr. Sandra Nabachwa said that that the Pro-life Club of Muduuma had participated fully in pro-life causes. She said that they visited and counseled HIV/AIDS patients and also saved lives of unborn babies by convincing young girls who had wanted to abort, to change their mind.

Other Pro-life clubs which performed well included among others Uganda Martyrs University Nkozi, St. Kizito SSS, Bugoloobi and Muteesa I Royal University.

The Patron  and Founder of Pro-Life Movement, Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga asked students to shun all vices that destroyed human life. He told the students that God created human beings in his image and gave them the responsibility to be pro-creators and developers of the world, which was why practices like abortion and homosexuality were very undesirable.

He asked those people that were lured into these practices to seek "confidential and unbiased counseling" from the Church.

Earlier during mass, the Vicar General of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Kampala, Msgr. Charles Kasibante also asked the pro-lifers to live out the values of the movement.

The convention received a massive attendance.
