They are in the process of locating a venue where they can put up facilities

Aziz Damani are on a steady path to redefining local sport. There's definitely going to be a shake-up in the established order not only in cricket but football, tennis and badminton as they have now expanded into a sports club.

"We have decided to take this major step and stretch our boundaries to other sports. There's a lot to offer in Ugandan sport and here we are" said Siva Koti the Damani Sports Club CEO.

Koti adds that they are in the process of locating a venue where they can put up facilities to run this program and become the most accomplished sports club there is in the land.

This is indeed a genuine and realistic goal given their financial muscle and most importantly their somewhat flawless organization.

Their financial taps have further been boosted with more partners coming in including Sr Group, Dembe Enterprises, Balaji Group East Africa among others.

In terms of cricket, you can only imagine what a Steven Tikolo side can manage to produce; wonders. He could help take them to greater heights.

Tikolo was secured as a player coach along with Emanuel Isaneez and Kenneth Waiswa from Patidar and Nile respectively as the latest additions to a long line of stars on the team.

It should be remembered that in its early stages of inception the club took on Brian Masaba and Asadu Seyiga. They would later help them clinch the Division 2 title unbeaten last season.

The club also took the Kishor Pabari Memorial and the Night Cricket Tournament.

However their eyes are now set on a relatively tough target, the top flight title.

"We understand the magnitude of the top tier but it is a challenge we have to embrace with optimism and determination" said Arnold Otwani, Damani's top batsman.

He is one of the players that have always received monetary rewards for performances in a given game.

Traditionally for instance a player in the team who scores a century receives sh100,000 and a half century sh50,000.

Their impact on local football waits next year when their team will be officially unveiled.
