Big League: Masavu's Kabonge suspended

The former Onduparaka tactician is on the verge of earning promotion

Masavu coach Allan Kabonge has been suspended for one match for insulting match officials.

In a statement from FUFA Competitions Committee indicates that Kabonge insulted one of the assistant referees when his side beat Synergy 1-0 in the FUFA Big League.

"Coach Allan Kabonge of Masavu FC is suspended for the next match of his club in FUFA Competitions. Kabonge in addition to the ban has been fined sh500,000 before returning to the touchline" the communication read in part.

Masavu are currently top in the Rwenzori Group with 40 points, seven and eight respectively above second placed Mbarara City and Nyamityobora.

Kabonge's assistant Andrew Mugagga or the club's technical director Alex Gitta will take charge of the team when they face Hope Doves.

The former Onduparaka tactician is on the verge of earning promotion to the Premier League like he did with the Arua side and Aurum Roses.​
