Floridsdorfer of Austria sign Proline's Edrisa Lubega

Uganda Cranes striker Edrisa Lubega was on Thursday unveiled as Floridsdorfer Athletics Sports Club player.

Lubega joined the Austrian second league (Erste Liga ) side on a six months loan from Proline.

"Edrisa Lubega struck me at the U17 Africa Cup two years ago with his enormous speed and physical robustness. I would like to thank our team manager Lukas Fischer who has put great energy into this transfer since mid-December. We are very glad that he is eligible for the game right now," GF Dominik Glawogger.

Lubega who left for Austria with his coach Majid Kasule, has a chance of signing a permanent deal if he impresses.

He came to the limelight during the 2016/2015 season when Proline was promoted to the Azam Uganda Premier League last season and was also the top scorer of the FUFA Big League regular season with 19 goals.

At the time of his departure, he had scored seven goals in the local league . Lubega represented the country in the Africa Nations Championship that was held in Rwanda last year.
