MP calls for regulations for bodaboda operations

Emmanuel Sempala Kigozi, the Makindye Sabagabo municipality Member of Parliament said several associations manning bodaboda operation in the country are extorting money from the cyclists.
The Government has been challenged to come up with regulations for the operation of bodabodas in the country.

"Bodabodas have become a modest means of transport to all Ugandans," said Kigozi Saturday handing over 12 motorcycles to the Makindye Sabagabo Bodaboda Association. Each Division of Ndejje ,Masajja and Bunamwaya received four Bodaboda. In addition, he donated a double cabin Pickup vehicle to help his constituents.
Kigozi cautioned bodaboda cyclists against involvement in political fights instead of concentrating on their work.
Tamale Mirundi the presidential advisor on media also attended this party. He criticized government for creating municipalities before sensitizing local communities on the implications of the move.
"Communities in recently formed municipalities don't know that they are not supposed keep graveyards," said Tamale Mirundi.

Isa Kikungwe the former area member of parliament said that although he retired from the seat, he is still a staunch member of Democratic Party( DP). He advised members to stay united.
Elton Joseph Mabirizi the former presidential aspirant said Ugandans should strive to liberate their country in areas they think have not worked out to their expectation.
MP Muhammad Muwanga Kivumbi (Butambala) applauded the Makibndye Sabagano DP supporters for the unity the they had demonstrated.
The party was attended by the Ndejje, Bunamwanya and Masajja divisional mayors as well as religious leaders.
