Rev. Fr. Simon Peter Ssemakula, a curate at Old Kampala Catholic parish, has asked young Christians to live out the values of the faith.

"You must never forget your Christian identity. This implies that you must be guided by the Biblical values in your daily activities. Whether you are married, single, or searching, you must keep yourself holy. Nothing should tempt you to fornicate, or to commit adultery," Ssemakula said.

He was addressing the youth of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Nsambya, during their Valentine's Day fete at the Church on Tuesday. Ssemakula explained that Valentine's Day was an occasion of celebrating the gift of love, which was why it was wrong for people to secularise it.

Ssemakula later asked the youth to shun vices like adultey and fornication. "Sex is holy. It is intended for the procreation of children. It is not something you should do just for fun. So please, keep your bodies pure."The event attracted youth from various parts of Kampala.
