Outgoing netball committee gets seven more months in office

Netball delegates countrywide have opted to give the Uganda Netball Federation (UNF) outgoing committee under Suzan Anek seven more months in office to prepape the national team for two major international events.

The local federation was initially slated to go to the polls on February 25 but the decision to reinstate the serving committee until August was passed at the annual general assembly in Kampala.

"I can't change what the delegates have decided," Anek said.

The committee will now spearhead the preparation process ahead of the Africa Netball Championship slated for June in Kampala and also prepare the U-21 team for the Youth Netball World Cup set for the following month in Gaborone, Botswana.
