Uganda Beach Soccer Association (UBSA) has resolved to stop unprofessional coaches from managing National League clubs.

This resolution was announced to the press by UBSA chairman Deo Mutabazi, who said that they have already organized a refresher course for coaches who attended earlier courses as well as new coaches handling league teams starting on February 1.

"Like it is in the football top league, we shall not allow any untrained coach to handle national league clubs effective next outing. We want coaching standards and professionalism in the game to go upwards," Mutabazi said.

He said that any teams that will not have presented names of coaches for the four day course at Lido beach, Entebbe will play their matches without a tactician on the bench.

Currently out of 12 clubs, there are only seven National Beach Soccer League teams with trained coaches and Mutabazi thinks that this has resulted into deteriorated performances and discipline of the tacticians.

"Many of the coaches in the league are not professional and they are causing a lot of havoc to the game by fighting referees, players and that is because they don't understand the rules of the game," Mutabazi said.

St Lawrence University BSC had their coach David Ssozi banned for 365days because he forcefully withdrew his players from a game in protest of a referees' decision in a game at the end of first round of the league.
