Pregnant woman dies in Bundibugyo accident

According to the officer in charge of traffic for Bundibugyo district, Warren Monday, the woman, Aisha Mbambu, 26, from Maindole village, Bundibugyo died on the spot.

A pregnant woman died in an accident that occurred on Thursday morning along the Bundibugyo -Nyahuka road.

Warren said the driver of the vehicle registration number UAR 045D,  Agaba Kifunga, lost control while sloping down Bugombwa hill and rammed into an electricity pole.

He said the car was carrying 11 passengers, all traders travelling from Busunga heading to a local market.

 
Monday identified the injured as Juliet Kikoro, Night Doreen, Veronica Katusabe, Ezabeth Abwooli, Alice Thungu, Joyce Thungu, Ruth Kabugho , Slyvia  Busunga and Herema Abwooli, saying they were rushed to Bundibugyo Hospital.
