Ten things to practice in 2017

Work on some of the relationships you are in and see what happens. Who knows you might be married by December.

With the first week of 2017 over, chances are you doubt your New Year's resolutions already. Well, this is an interesting year. However, there are some things we would love to see happen before the end of this year.

Renew your faith with God

Whether you are sick or very healthy, this is one practice you definitely need to practice. You need to believe that there is God and that He loves you.

Find love and settle

Try to develop a meaningful relationship with someone.  Work on some of the relationships you are in and see what happens. Who knows you might be married by December. You need to be warned, you will be hurt in the process but if you are interested in the relationship, you will come through it and you will be happy.

Learn something new

Seriously, what is wrong with increasing your curiosity? Instead of spending the money drinking and pleasing strangers in bars, learn a different language or to play an instrument. Invest in your mind. Books are sold everywhere on the street.

Less Drama

Life is too short for drama. Have a life and laugh more. Don't be too serious. Laughter is good for your health. Let go of anger, mindsets that hold you back and bitterness. Forgive those who wrong you. Let go of environments and people that drain your energy

Exercise

Stop telling everyone how you are going to start swimming, jogging or joining a dancing group. Just start. You can choose a sport because Sports are a great form of exercise, they tend to be more enjoyable than routine exercises. These days there are jogging clubs, join them and jog to your favorite music. If you're at the university and you do not have money for gym, consider joining the University sports team.

Change your wardrobe

Let go of clothes that no longer fit. Upgrade this year. You do not have to wear the same things you wore last year. Throw away those faded jeans. Jeans are cheap. They cost sh25000.

Eat right

Can we please go back to eating actual food, as opposed to junk?

Make new friends

Make friends from a different religion, tribe, race or ideological view. Meet people outside your regular social circle.

There are too many cool people out there who would die to be tight with you!

Keep time                                                            

Being late can be caused by anything from public transportation to lengthy makeup routines. If you know the public transportation you take is unpredictable, negotiate a meeting time when public transportation is more frequent, so you don't risk embarrassing yourself. You can make it in time.
