With less than a week left to the kick-off of the 31st edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the ardent Ugandan fan must be looking around for the cheapest means to Gabon.

Stories of an expensive trip to Gabon have scared away many, but a few more fans have already booked their flights to Port Gentil where Uganda plays their opening game against Ghana on January 17.

To make the trip affordable for many other Ugandans, Equator Aviation Services has unveiled one of the cheapest rates to-date to the oil rich state.

The cheapest package which enables fans to watch at least Uganda's opening match goes for $1780 (sh6.4m). This includes a return Economy class Air ticket from Entebbe to Libriville, departure and arrival airport transfers including a meet and assist service by airport representative and accommodation for 3 nights.

The second package that allows a fan a six night stay to watch at least two Uganda Opening matches goes for $2070 (sh7.4m) while watching all Uganda's group games and a ten-night stay in Libreville costs $2399 (sh8.6m).

"Of all the packages on offer this is the cheapest, Ugandan fans can get and we are looking forward to making them comfortable in Gabon," Director, Equator Aviation Services Linus Wamanya said.

Earlier packages on the market had offers of $2880 (sh10m) and $3950 (sh14m) as the cheapest for a seven and ten-day packages to Gabon respectively.
