Uganda Cranes to receive sh215m from MPs

Each Member of Parliament is to contribute sh500,000 towards the National Football tea, Uganda Cranes  for Africa Cup of Nations football tournament.

The Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga, ordered the Clerk to Parliament Jane Kibirige to deduct the money from their salaries.

Presiding over the House session on Tuesday, Kadaga noted that Parliament last year pledged to offer financial support to the Uganda Cranes in the wake of their victory over Comoros to secure a place in this year's cup tournament.
