A Ugandan musician, best known as Spice Diana, is distraught after her car was stolen while she performed in Kampala.

She later wrote on her social media page that the incident had left her "depressed".

"I would like to inform all my friends, fans and everyone who wishes me well that I have lost my car tonight," she said in the message posted at 7.07am Tuesday.

Her car was reportedly stolen from Freedom City along Entebbe Road where she had gone for a performance on Boxing Day.

"It is a Toyota Noah registration number UAQ 482X, silver in color," the post read, detailing that the vehicle was stolen from the parking lot.

A contact who did not want to be named said that after the show, they found the car missing. Immediately, they reported to the security at Freedom City before heading to Kibuye Police Station.

The source added that they were due to report the matter to Kampala Central Police Station on Wednesday.

He said the musician is feeling low after the incident but is positive her car will be found.

Some months back, fellow musicians Irene Namatovu and Geoffrey Lutaaya were robbed of their car at gunpoint on their way from home from a show.

The vehicle was later recovered in a garage painted a different colour.
