MP checks medics' performance on X-mas day

Tororo South MP Fredrick Angura on Christmas day made an impromptu visit to all health center III to ascertain their operations and service delivery.

Angura visited Kwapa, Mella, Malaba and Osukuru Sub County where he was impressed to find the facilities open and health officials on duty. In Kwapa and Malaba he found midwives in the labour suits helping mothers to deliver.

Angura's abrupt visit follows previous experience where health centers are closed and all the health workers go to their homes for a week long Christmas celebrations.

The health workers explained that they had run short off Hepatitis B testing kits due to overwhelming response of the residents towards the vaccination.

Angura was very impressed with health workers commitments to their service. He donated Christmas package comprising of soap, sugar, maize flour and salt to both the health workers and patients.
