Retired Supreme Court Justice George Kanyeihamba, has applauded President Yoweri Museveni for ensuring that his security is guaranteed, saying retired judges and magistrates find hard time staying in society especially with people they once condemned.

"I am happy that as much as I have criticised Police on corruption, my guard is always with me. I credit the Inspector General of Police Kale Kayihura and President Museveni for instructing the force back," he calmly said as he addressed the media.

He made the remarks during the launch of his book titled 'Unmitigated Humour and Wise Cracks of all seasons' at the Golf Club in Kololo on Friday.

However, Kanyeihamba, a critic of the NRM government, advised politicians to keep off affairs of public universities, to enable their management officers to perform.

Kanyeihamba said he was  inspired to write the book, to encourage and boost reading culture especially to those bored of situations.

"Our life has been punctuated with missiles; the book is intended to cheer Ugandans," Kanyeihamba noted.

'Unmitigated Humour and Wise Cracks of all seasons' book is a collection of humour, anecdotes and wise saying.
