The Chief Registrar of courts, Paul Gadenya has transferred 28 magistrates and registrars and they are expected to start work at their new stations on January 1, 2017.

In a press release issued early today and copied to all the heads of the judiciary, Gadenya explained that the transfer are aimed at improving service delivery in the institution.

"The general reasons for the transfers are; movement of judicial officers who have over stayed in the stations, filling posts in the recently created High court circuits and replacing retired judicial officers," he said.

Gadenya said that the transfers are also aimed at promoting better relationship between the judiciary and stakeholders especially with the Justice Law and Order (JLOS) community and the district authorities.

He further said the transfers are a step towards filling the gender gap. Below is a list of transferred judicial officers.
