Trial time for Otieno.

Kenyan National Francis Otieno will have to prove his abilities when he leads a team of fourteen players to the UAE in the International Women's T20 Cup due 12-21 December in Sharjah and Ajman grounds.

This will be his first major assignment since taking up reigns as head Coach of the National Women's team.

This is a good opportunity for him to prove himself to his employers as the best man for the job having only been employed on a renewable three month contract.

Old-timer, Barbra Mukankusi will captain the 14 women squad which was announced last week with 2014 USPA Cricketer of the year, Pricco Nakitende and Patricia Munguryek going as reserves.

Uganda will face Kenya, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Zimbabwe and the UAE. The team is facing new competition except Kenya and Zimbabwe

"We are looking at returning home with the highest prize there is" though it won't be a walk in the park" said Rita Tinka, the team manager.

The final 14 players include Barbra Mukankusi, Carol NamugenyiNaome Kayondo, Franklyn Najjumba, Consy Aweko, Gloria Adubu, Lelia Namaganda, Grace Ayato, Gertrrude Chandiru, Joyce Apio, Rachael Ntono, Stephanie Nampiina.

The reserves are Pioneer's Pricco Nakitende and Tornado Bee's Patricia Munguryek
