Pastor Kiwedde in court, pending sentence

He pleaded guilty to the crime of escape from lawful custody.

 

Pastor William Muwanguzi known as ‘Kiwedde', has arrived in court from Masaka Prison where he was remanded till today.

He pleaded guilty to the crime of escape from lawful custody.

According to Frank Baine, the Uganda Prisons Service Public Relations Officer, prisoners who escape from lawful custody will always regret their action.

After arrest, they jointly serve the period that was remaining on the previous sentence before escape, the time spent out of prison and the new sentence after re-arrest.
