Judges to undergo training on election petitions

The training programme will equip the judges with skills to improve on human rights amongst judicial officers

The Rights and Rule of Law Programme under the Foundation for Human Rights Initiative (FHRI) is conducting a 3-day human rights training of judges.

Maria Kaddu, the coordinator, Rights Rule of Law Programme said the training programme will equip the judges with skills to improve on human rights amongst judicial officers.

She said the training will get underway today at Protea Hotel, Kampala.

Kaddu noted that the training is also intended to equip judges with knowledge of handling election petitions.

Foundation for Human Rights Initiative (FHRI) is an independent, non-governmental organisation that was established in 1991 and handles human rights issues.
