UCU snatched a win from KCCA when it scored 11 points in extra time in an intense game one of the Pepsi National Basketball League playoffs finals that took place at Lugogo.

The dual had a game tie at 59 points in the fourth quarter of the game to send them  into extra time.

UCU's shooting guard Judith Nansobya scored a game high 21 points as the Lady Canons out scored their rivals 70-66 in the best-of -seven series at Lugogo.

Sarah Ageno and Ritah Imanishimwe added 19 and 13 points (including 12 rebounds) respectively for the five time and reigning defending champions who made an 11 points lead in the last five minutes ahead of KCCA.

Vilma Acheing told New Vision that winning the first game was just a warm up and they look forward to keeping the trophy.

"We have been training so hard for the finals and we don't intend to go conclude the playoffs minus the trophy," she said

Martha Soigi and Flavia OKetcho contributed 19 and 17 points apiece for the Leopards but it was not enough to earn them a win from the Mukono based young bloods.
