Micho is expected to release a detailed training programme

Uganda Cranes Head coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic has declined to talk about his rumoured move to Ghana or South Africa and instead chosen to focus on his team's preparations for the 2017 AFCON Finals next January.

The Serbian coach has called a 25 man squad of mainly home based players for four non residential training sessions starting on Wednesday.

Micho told a FUFA press conferencethat the success of the team in the AFCON Finals in Gabon next year will depend on government support as well as the fans.

One of the competitions he planned to use to prepare his team mainly home based players was the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup that was slated for this month.

He will have to review his plans as the competition's future remains uncertain with hosts Kenya saying they cannot stage it.

Micho is expected to release a detailed training programme of the Uganda Cranes' preparations for the 2017 AFCON Finals mid this week.
