Forest Mall shooting victim mourned

Tribute have been paid for Kenneth Akena, a Lugogo shooting victim. Prayers have been held at Mbuya Catholic Church in Kampala.

Akena, 32, a community development officer was shot at on Saturday at Forest Mall, Lugogo following a car scratch.

Police are holding a city businessman Mathew Kanyamunyu on suspicion he shot Akena.

According to Police Spokesperson Felix Kaweesi, they are holding Kanyamunyu and his fiancée Cynthia Munwangari following a dying declaration, which Akena reportedly made before he breathed his last.
