Rugby Gazelles ready for Dubai 7s

The Rugby Gazelles have embarked on a drive to raise 20million for their preparation (training) and plane tickets to the Dubai 7's invitational category.

"We have so far managed to get sponsorship for accommodation insurance, visas and meals although the sponsorship for the plane tickets did not materialise," Gazelles rugby coach Helen Buteme said.

She remains hopeful that the sponsors will materialise before November 29th.

"Fly Dubai is offering us discounts on tickets. We have raised 4.7 million and we hope to raise the remaining 15.3 million as well," Buteme added.

Buteme is very confident that regardless of the the fact that some of these sponsors won't materialise, they will raise the money and travel for the two day event that will take place December 1 and 2.

She also hinted on their training sessions saying that they were going well.
