Gulu woman detained over affair with 14-yr-old boy

Residents of Kanyogoga A sub ward in Bardege division, Gulu Municipality have handed over a 30-year-old woman identified as Barbra Aol to Police over her alleged involvement in a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old boy.

Aol was arrested by residents at around 8am on Monday morning from a drinking joint where she was in the company of the minor

Rose Lucac, the LC3 councillor Kanyogoga Parish said it is not the first time Aol was being seen with the minor in such places.

Auma Jennifer, the boy's mother told Radio Rupiny that Aol had been moving around with her son, who is a P5 pupil of Layibi Primary School, claims that they were collecting debts.

Police at Bardege Police Post preferred to charge Aol with child abduction since she had been holding the minor for long.

A Police officer who preferred anonymity said in case there's enough evidence to establish that the two had an affair, the charge will change to defilement.

She was transferred to Gulu Central Police Station after angry residents threatened to lynch her.
