Uganda wins AllAfrica Blackball Pool championship

The Ugandan men accumulated 12 points and the second placed South Africa team collected nine.

Team Uganda are the champions of the 2016 All Africa Blackball Pool Championship after South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Kenya at the MTN Arena, Lugogo.

The Ugandan team that had Sula Matovu, Alfred Gumikiriza, Geoffrey Ssetumba, Jonah Turigye, Fahad Ssewankambo and Fred Namanya beat Kenya in finals.

Ugandan women won the championship after overcoming Kenya with 10 points, two better of second placed South Africa.

This is the first time that Uganda has won the continental championship after finishing second and third last year in the women and men championships in Lesotho.
