Rugunda mourns Gen. Oketta

Facki Oketta, 60, died yesterday at Kadic Hospital. He was born on March 10, 1956 in Amuru District, Pabbo Sub-county.

The Prime Minister, Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda, has described the sudden death of Maj. Gen. Julius Oketta as a "huge loss" to the country.

"The sudden death of Maj. Gen. Julius Oketta is a huge loss to the country and a blow to the many initiatives he has been leading on. We salute him for his selfless and dedicated service to our nation and people. May His Soul Rest in Peace," he said.

Oketta was the deputy coordinator of the UPDF-led poverty eradication programme—Operation Wealth Creation.
