Buyende invigilator arrested over misconduct

Police in Buyende district have arrested an invigilator who was allegedly found engaging in cheating for a primary seven pupil who was sitting for his PLE examinations.

Fredrick Bangu, the Resident District Commissioner for Buyende identified the invigilator as Ronald Musanye, 27, a teacher from Irundu primary school in Kagulu Sub County.

Bangu explained that the invigilator was found with a piece of paper where he had written answers for one of the pupils at Mulaali Primary School where he had gone to supervise.

"PLE exams started well in the district but while pupils were having their afternoon paper, one of the invigilators was found with a paper where he had written answers and he  was giving it to one of the candidates to copy," he said.

Bangu added that the invigilator will appear in court on charges of misconduct and malpractice.
