Algerian referee Abid Charef Mehdi will handle the Uganda Cranes 2018 World Cup qualifier against Congo Brazzaville at Namboole on Saturday.

It will be the second time Abid Charef Mehdi handles a Uganda Cranes match after the earlier one between the Cranes and Burkina Faso at the 2016 CHAN Championship in Rwanda.

The referee assessor Bester Kalombo is from Malawi but the match commissioner Habimana Aimable is from Burundi.

The Cranes will play Zambia in a friendly match on Tuesday next week before the World Cup qualifier against Congo Brazaville on Saturday.
