"Ask and you will get. It is only God who gives wisdom."

"You ought to develop a habit of putting God first in whatever you do and the same should be with these upcoming PLE exams. Search for divine intervention and you will be rewarded handsomely," said Fr Joseph Ruzindana, head of youth, Kampala Arch diocese.

"Ask and you will get. It is only God who gives wisdom, when King Solomon asked for wisdom, he was duly given. Ask for wisdom and God will gladly give it you."

Fr Ruzindana was speaking during the dedication prayers for P.7 Candidates at Kampala Parents School. The dedication prayers attracted parents, teachers, well-wishers and the pupils themselves.

In his sermon, Ruzindana said devine power is the biggest gift anyone can have and thus called on both parents and pupils to embrace God in all their endeavors. He also called on the candidates to be mentally, physically and emotionally strong as they prepare for their Primary Leaving Examinations.

The principal of the school, Daphne Kato said they are have prepared the pupils in all ways possible and are ready for the challenge. "We have done everything we can and we now live the rest to God," Kato said.

'We are ready for the challenge'

When New Vision talked to some of the candidates, many of them said they were ready for the challenge.

Natukunda Florence said she has been at the school for the last seven years and after lots of preparation by the teachers, she is ready for PLE and expects to get aggregate 4.

"Our teachers have been greatly helpful; the seven years I have spent here will forever be memorable. Am now ready for the challenge and I know I will pass well," Natukunda said.

Abdulkadir Asgerali says he has been at Kampala Parents for seven years and it has been a good journey all through.

"I have been cooperative, hardworking and attentive in class and am confident I will do well in PLE. I also had a sister who got aggregate five and she was taught by the same teachers who have been teaching me, am therefore very confident that I will do well," Asgerali says. Asgerali wants to be a mechanical engineer.

Kirabo Tiffany Caroline says she has been doing well all through and as such, she is sure she will do well in her exams. "It has been a good experience; I have enjoyed my stay at KPS and am now ready for the next challenge. I want to get aggregate 4 and join Gayaza High School," Kirabo says.
