“These firefighting trucks will help in rescue missions in case of fire outbreaks in the City,” KCCA boss Jennifer Musisi said.

Kampala capital City Authority (KCCA) has handed over two firefighting trucks to Police.

"These firefighting trucks will help in rescue missions in case of fire outbreaks in the City," KCCA boss, Jennifer Musisi said.

She made the remarks during the handover of two firefighting trucks at the KCCA gardens on Thursday.

The equipment was lobbied from the donors by Lubaga Division mayor Joyce Ssebugawo.

Musisi called upon other political leaders to use their office to lobby for items and services to better the city.

The director fire brigade, Joseph Mugisa, said the donation was a good boost.

The deputy Inspector General of Police, Ochola Okoth, asked KCCA to sensitize the community on fire safety tips.
