The suspension takes immediate effect and for the remainder of the 2016/17 season

FUFA Referees Standing Committee (FRSC) has suspended referee William Oloya who was charge of the match between Kirinya Jinja SS and KCCA in the Azam Uganda Premier League game played at Bugembe Stadium last week.

The game that ended 1-1 saw ugly clashes between rival fans following the final whistle.

The clashes were sparked by a KCCA fan who stormed the pitch to attack Oloya protesting against his decision to cancel Derrick Nsibambi's injury time winner for the visitors.

The suspension takes immediate effect and for the remainder of the 2016/17 season.

"On 13thOctober the FRSC met and took a decision to suspend Oloya who handled the above mentioned match. The other officials of the mentioned match will not be affected by this decision" a statement read in part.

"The decision by the FRSC was taken after reviewing the Referees Assessor's report and the video of the match".
