Speaking to journalists at Uganda Media Centre in Kampala on Tuesday Godfrey Kiwanda the tourism state minister Kiwanda said clusters will boost tourism in the country as well as marketing locally produced goods like crafts, agriculture produce among others.

He also said streets in different municipalities will be opened and reserved for locally produced products.

Kiwanda said Uganda has many tourism attractions that have not been sufficiently marketed.

"There has been marketing of the country as a whole, leaving some tourism attractions" said Kiwanda.

He said the Tulambule domestic tourism drive is one of the ways that Ugandans have been encouraged to explore and experience the beauty of their country.

The minister also said the first leg of Tulambule in Ankole region attracted hundreds of people who experienced the beauty and culture of the region.

"On Friday October 28th, we shall set off for a tourism drive to Busoga that will include a number of activities like hill climbing, enjoying night life, street bash among others," said Kiwanda adding that by July 2017, all the regional clusters will have been toured.
