The Cuban VP made the remarks after receiving a copy of Museveni's book from Todwong, who asked him to read it in order to understand Uganda's history.

Salvado, who also received other books on tourism in Uganda, told NRM leaders that they would get records of Cuba's revolution when they visit his country.

The Cuban VP was in African to revamp his country's relationship with old African allies and to establish new ties with new allies. During his trip, he was to visit a number of countries including Uganda, Zimbabwe and Tanzania.

After successfully launching a guerrilla war that ousted dictatorial regimes in 1986, Museveni wrote the book, explaining why he fought dictators with the gun.

In his speech Salvado assured NRM leaders that the communist party of Cuba will never renounce NRM at any forum and hailed the latter for standing with his country in thin and thick.

He added that Cuba would be very far in developing her people if US had not put a blockade on the country. Salvado appealed to Uganda to continue backing its draft resolution to the UN against the blockade whenever it's tabled.

During the meeting on Thursday, NRM and Salvado agreed to carry out exchange visits for officials from the two sides to learn from one another.

Salvador revealed that the communist party of Cuba has invited NRM secretary General, Kasule Lumumba to the country. He said NRM youth and women will also benefit from mutual relationship between the two parties.
