Lukanga moves top in boxing league

Lukanga who are supposed to complete their remaining bouts on Thursday to end the first round, are top with 91 points,eight above second placed KCCA boxing club.

Lukanga Boxing club moved top of the table in the national boxing league. Coach Zebra Ssenyange's side registered comfortable victories on Tuesday at MTN Arena Lugogo.

Wasswa Ssali and Tonny Mukiibi are some of the Lukanga boxing club boxers that walked away with victories after defeating Gerald Aliga and Muzei Lutakome both from Katwe 3-0 and 2-1 respectively.
Other boxers in the Lukanga camp such as Umar Mutebi, Jafar Semujju,Mark Senabulya, Meddie Sajjabi ,Geko Solomon,Emma Kyambadde among others had walkovers after their opponents didn't show up.
Police and UPDF are third and fourth with 50 and 47 points respectively. The event that involves boxers in the both senior and youth categories runs up to November.
The championship is facilitated by National Council of Sports (NCS)
In the youth catergory, COBAP is top of the table with 22 points, seven above second placed Lukanga. The second round of the league will expected to start on October 15
