Uganda in Accra for Ghana game on Friday

Uganda Cranes first team goalkeeper Denis Onyango is fully fit and is expected to play in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia qualifier against Ghana on Friday in Tamale October 7.

Onyango did not feature against Togo because of flight delays giving opportunity to Salim Jamal and Benjamin Ochan in the friendly match.

The team had camped in Togo but the players are now expected to connect to Accra, then to Tamale in time for a pre-match training at the venue of the game on Friday.

Uganda lost to Togo 1-0 on Tuesday and coach Milutin Sredejovic told his players on Wednesday to focus on possession and quickly repossessing the ball.

"We have no time to dwell on the result of the game we played against Togo because our focus has always been on the qualifier against Ghana," Sredejovic said.
