Lukanga trails leaders KCCA by two points

National Boxing League   

KCCA and Lukanga boxing clubs will be fighting for the top slot as the National Boxing League resumes today at the MTN Arena in Lugogo.   

Lukanga is now on 74 points, two behind leaders KCCA and a win over Katwe Boxing Club who are their next opponents will see them top of the log if KCCA fails to win. 

"It's going to be competitive so let our fans come and the support the boxers" Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) publicist Fred Kavuma stated. 

Mohamed Kassim, Joshua Nyanzi, Shadir Musa will be some of the boxers that will battle for KCCA while Tonny Mukiibi, Geko Solomon will be the key pillars for Lukanga. 

Police and COBAP are third and fourth with 54 and 48 points respectively. The championship that involves boxers in the both senior and youth categories runs up to November. 

The senior event has drawn nine clubs in the league although East Coast Boxing Club won't be in action today. 

The championship is facilitated by National Council of Sports (NCS).
